Located between Maastricht and Maaseik, you would expect that Dilsen is also on the Maas river. However, floods have left Dilsen more onshore since 1740. Since 1826, the water of the Zuid-Willemsvaart has streamed by at a kilometre distance. For other water leisure activities, you can go to the Dil-Zen spa.
