Origin’eau in Aalst combines beauty treatments with a unique wellness concept. Their ‘refreshing centre’ was completely designed and installed by ‘Alpha Wellness Sensations. The refreshing ritual starts in an ‘en-counter room’ where the voice of Veerle Dobbelaere invites you to turn off all stimuli and create a moment of silence to hear your inner voice.
The tune of calmness is now on. After a thorough salt scrub that disposes the skin of dead cells, the guests can enjoy the steam room, the sauna with salt stones and infrared lounge with halotherpay. Cooling off can be carried out in a special way with snow and ice in the cold room with the final path in the experience shower ‘After Journey Walk’. The Aladdin’s Dream steam room disperses a moist heat, steam combined with a pleasant scent that can reach 50°C. The benches and walls are finished with mosaic tiles and are symmetrically equipped with water bowls. The illumination is atmospheric. Thanks to the spots in the ceiling and the indirect LED strips in the bench. The sauna is the Abstracto model characterized by dark wood and special angles. There are two sauna ovens installed symmetrically left and right. Square back lit salt stones coat the back wall and the ceiling features almost 350 light points that create a magical starry sky. The result is an original framework for a blissful relaxation in the dry hot air. The infrared sauna is furnished in the same style. Sunburnt wood has been used for the interior finish, the back wall was coated with back lit salt stones and the starry sky on the ceiling creates a pleasant atmosphere. The bench in cedar slats has a unique S-curvature for blissful seating comfort. The infrared heaters follow the bench curvature so that each vertebra can be radiated. Furthermore, there are heaters for the legs and for the front of the body. There is one special feature in this infrared sauna and namely the salt nebulizer. The enrichment of the air with salt particles has an additional recovering effect on the lungs and body. The cooling off takes place in an ‘ice cave’ where you can enjoy a snow shower while seating on an oak trunk. The swirling snowflakes give a soft and gradual refreshment. The ice machine is available for those who prefer it colder. The "After Journey Walk" was designed to conclude the wellness journey. It is literally a walk through the four seasons in terms of colour, scent, temperature and droplet size. The experience shower allows the body to alternately experience heat, coolness, rain, fog, tropical humidity or a waterfall in seven different steps. The ensemble lets you recharge your batteries and step out full of energy!
