An old farm from the 18th century is the basis for a brand-new thermal center in Liège. Alpha Wellness Sensations was responsible for the extensive and contemporary interpretation of the wellness facilities.
A stone's throw from the historic heart of Liège, a new thermal institute has recently been established. More than 2,000 m² of wellness and relaxation. Ideal to disconnect from reality for a while. Inside the former farmhouse, a 100 m² swimming pool heated to 31°C steals the show. This was divided into 2 parts: a spa zone to relax with a waterfall and massage jets; the second zone is reserved for swimming. There is a hot tub both inside and outside.
In the garden, we spot the first sauna from the Alpha Wellness Sensations range. This is the XXL version of the Eclipse that is perfectly integrated into nature thanks to the exterior finish with heather mats. Inside, cedar and ayous wood are combined with a back wall of rough salt stones. The sauna oven here has an automatic pouring system and coat hooks have been provided in the heated front room. Inside the renovated farmhouse, 5 themed saunas have also been beautifully installed between the various rest areas and the swimming pool. The Kelo sauna has that typical warm interior with raw Kelo wood panels. Traditional lamps in the corners provide an extra atmosphere. The Lumino sauna has an enchanting play of light from LED lighting. For example, the starry sky has almost 350 points of light, and the back wall with cubic shapes is indirectly lit, just like the rounded corners of the benches. This makes the dark treatment of the wood stand out even more.
Fine ayous profiles form the benches and backrest of the Bio-sauna. The light color is reflected in the pine wood walls and ceiling. Blue quartz stone strips bring color to the back wall and form a nice contrast to the wood. The front and back walls of the salt cave are covered with rough salt stones. This coarse effect gives an authentic atmosphere to the sauna, which is further occupied with smooth cedar profiles and has two ergonomic lounge benches made of narrow cedar profiles. An evaporator enhances the salt benefits. The last of the heat rooms is the steam bath. This elegant steam room connects the benches with a white-beige mosaic and the walls with XL tiles in anthracite color. The luminous ceiling completes the picture, along with the spotlights and LED lighting under the bench.
After all these wonderful heat experiences, it's time to cool down. This is possible in the cold cave, sitting on an oak trunk surrounded by rough cedar panels and letting the icy air wash over you. Of course, there are also the famous experience showers. Four units of the Caribbean Storm type are available for invigorating cooling. In the middle of these round cells is also an ice fountain for the ultimate cooling experience. This cooling unit has been beautifully designed and connected by curved walls and circular ceilings made of heat-treated ayous profiles. Coziness and freshness never went so well together!
